The map shows how fast more people are getting exposed to extreme heat events in Brazilian cities and the main reason for the rise — whether it is more hot days or population growth.
The exposure value was calculated by multiplying the number of hot days in each extreme heat event (sequence of days with temperatures above 28ºC) by the current population of each city.
